My current research focuses on two interconnected areas. The first explores cultural narratives in digital media, particularly horror video games that draw on South and Southeast Asian folklore to construct narratives of fear and affect. The second examines fandoms and fan practices in South Asia, with a focus on queer media cultures and participatory publics. Together, these research interests contribute to broader conversations on world literatures, popular culture, digital humanities, and inter-Asian cultural flows in the contemporary moment.
